Satsuma Mandarin orange tree in the back yard is in bloom.

I've been experimenting with manually setting the exposure on the camera. In this case, I wanted to expose for the sun-lit white petals rather than the surrounding trees.

I could have created a similar effect with Photoshop, but this is much better since it provides detail in the white petals that would have been washed out in a standard exposure.

But, of course, I still felt compelled to do a little before . . .
